Bell & Ross watches have teamed up with Renault Sport Formula One Team to release the very special BR 03-94 RS17 Chronograph, which will be part of an exclusive trilogy that will be released later this year at Baselworld.

Since its foundation in 1994, Bell & Ross has strived to help fighter pilots rely on their timepiece to keep track of time. Over the years the brand has become a leading light in the world of aviation. As of February 2016, in its quest for new universes to explore, Bell & Ross made its foray into the Formula One circuit by becoming the official partner of Renault Sport Formula One Team. The prestigious world of motor sports shares many similarities with aviation, Bell & Ross’ first love. In both fields, engineers seek extreme performance, speed and mechanical accuracy.

The design of the new watch, inspired by the new Formula One design, brings together the latest technological advances and the most innovative materials used in the racing world. Previewing the BR 03-94 RS17. This timepiece features a stunning ceramic case designed to withstand shock and is teamed with a sporty carbon fibre dial  that makes it exceptionally suited for the world of motor racing.

This lightweight, resilient material makes the watch perfect for everyday use and evokes images of the steering wheel of the new Renault Sport Formula One Car (or R.S.17) car. The chronograph information yellow anodized aluminium – the iconic colour used by Renault since they first entered Formula One. The official release of these high-performance watches will be revealed in a few weeks at Baselworld.

The BR 03-94 RS17 Chronograph is equipped  with an automatic mechanical BR-CAL 301 calibre movement that powers hours, minutes, small seconds dial at 3 o’clock, date display, and a 30-minute timer at 9 o’clock with a tachymeter scale on the flange. The case is 42mm in  diameter in matt black ceramic material teamed with a carbon fibre dial with SuperLumiNova hands. The watch features a glare proofed sapphire crystal and finished with a oven black rubber strap with ultra-resilient black synthetic fabric. The timepiece will be limited to 500 pieces worldwide.
